Some brushes for the city scape used (my own brushes btw). Took a long time to figure out I suck, so I quickly stuck to what I can do... which isn't much obviously.
Could that be Ame....? Hmmm.....
You should! I have been thinking a lot, but I can't really get past the whole city-scape concept thing. I want to do more character designs, but I keep throwing them away.
I personally want to re-vamp the character designs a bit. Maybe more sleek and "action" oriented.
Yes it's good to focus on some "flavor art" to get an idea of the world.
My only suggestions might be to use a few more shapes; make the buildings more of a mix of widths. I'd also suggest using a few more colors, no city is one color.
Speaking of "flavor art" that gives a real feel for the world. You might want to watch Ghost in the Shell (the movie) and Armitage the 3rd again. They had some wonderful city concepts, and beautiful art. I just showed Diane Ghost in the Shell for the first time last night.
I agree 100% on the characters. I have a feeling most of them will be a good deal different when I'm through with them.
I'll do that. Yeah, I was really trying to go for something and it just didn't work for me. I need a lot more practice at this kind of stuff.
Apple Seed 2 has some awesome concepts as well, you should watch that one (MUCH better than the first movie by a lot).
You are getting closer. In the final product we only need a few full spread landscapes to show where the story is taking place. Most of the novel will be focused on the characters.
Cool I think I have AppleSeed 2 in my Netflix queue. I still have to see the first one too. BTW Armitage Duel Matrix (2) sucks, it was boring with bad animation.
