Posting Images and Videos on UI (Basic HTML tips)
I've noticed most of you haven't been embedding YouTube videos or images in your posts, instead just posting the URL link since [BBcode] isn't used on Ning.
With this version of Untitled Image you need to use html code to post videos, images, and links or other text styles.
You can find a basic html cheat sheet here. HTML is only a little more complex than [BBcode] and works the same way. You always have a starting ‹tag› and an end ‹⁄tag›.
Posting an Image
The little picture icon:
above the text entry field will write the html code for you if you paste in an image's URL.
<img src="imageURL">
Adds an Image.
Note: You must have the image uploaded to either Untitled Image or another free image hosting service, and have the image's URL to post it in a message with the method listed above.
You can also use image hosting sites like Flickr that often provide html code for you to post thumbnails. On Flickr click the "All Sizes" button.
You will be allowed to pick the size you want and the html code is located below the image.
Posting a link
Just click the text link button:
above the text entry field and paste in your URL, it will write the html link for you.
<a href="URL">Link Text</a>
Creates a hyperlink
Posting YouTube Videos (and other video streaming sites)
This is very easy since YouTube writes the code for you. Look for the "embed" code in the "about this video" box on the right and just copy and paste it into your post where you want the video.
Look for the box shown in the image below on this YouTube video page.
Or you can also click the "menu" button on videos that are already embedded to find the code.
You can also use the embed code to post videos to the Videos section of Untitled Image.

it took me a while to find the 'View HTML' thing to get the youtube thing working. but i know where it is now

Yup it's a little hidden. Most video upload sites do have embed code though.
